With text of 1906 divorce judgement Gonne v. MacBride.
includes bibliographical references (page 218) and index.
The world Maud Gonne operated in was largely male, until she began to found organizations for women. As such she worked with many men in her French and Irish careers. She loved Lucien Millevoye until he betrayed her. She believed in marrying John McBride she was marrying Ireland. Her lengthy spiritual marriage to W B Yeats sufficed. Her second son, Sean MacBride, the reincarnation of Georges Millevoye, fulfilled her life. - See book cover.
