"What began as a series of columns in a Sydney, Australia, newspaper has become a wonderfully entertaining book - a tribute to the talents of two of bridge's best writers. Australia's Klinger created the Rabbi, the central figure in the book, but did little to develop his character because of space restrictions in the newspaper. england's Bird was recruited to expand the articles into episodes.
